How To Apply For KMDC Loan (Arivu Educational Loan) 2020-21

 What is Arivu Educational Loan?

Arivu educational loan is a scheme by the Govt of Karnataka also known as KMDC Loan by Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation Ltd.,. This scheme provides financial assistance for minority students belonging to Karnataka and pursuing higher educational courses like Medical, Engineering, Dental, Master Degree Courses, Diploma Courses, Nursing, B.Ed, BBM, BCA, D.Ed, D-Pharma, Pharma-D.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The student must be the permanent resident of Karnataka.
  • The student should belong to the minority community.
  • Students pursuing educational courses like Medical, Engineering, Dental, Nursing, Master Degree Courses, Diploma Courses, BCA, B.Ed, BBM, D.Ed, D-Pharma, Pharma-D are eligible.
  • Family income should be less than 2 lakhs PA from all the sources.
Due to limited funds freshers selected through CET/NEET only can apply for Loan Assistance during 2020-21 and for renewal students with more than 65% in the previous exam/semester can only apply.



Benefits Of Arivu Loan

Financial assistance ranging from Rs.20,000/- to Rs.75,000/- per year till the completion of the course was offered till AY 2019-20 but due to a shortage in the funds available KMDC has reduced the pay scale for freshers to Rs.30,000/-

How To Apply:

  1. Go to KMDC website and tap on arivu 2.0
  2. Click on Fresh or Renewal.
  3. The new page gets opened, fill the necessary details carefully.
  4. Save the application and take a printout.
  5. Attach all the mentioned documents.
  6. Arrange the printout of the application and the documents in a file and submit it to the KMDC office mentioned on top of the application.
Documents To Be Submitted:

  1. 4 Passport Size Photograph of the candidate.
  2. Income and Caste Certificate.
  3. Ration card/Aadhar card/Telephone Bill/Water Bill/Keb Bill.
  4. CET/NEET Admission Ticket.
  5. SSLC Marks Card and II PUC marks card.
  6. Study Certificate (Present Course Non-CET).
  7. Indemnity Bond.
  8. College Fee Structure (Non-CET).
  9. The year passed marks card (Non-CET).
  10. Partial recovery receipt (Renewal).
  11. Fee Structure.
  12. College bank details.
